I live in a house with an old plaster wall and it's sometimes very difficult to fix something to the wall. I have an over the range hood that I mounted directly to the wall because there is nothing to mount it "under" and I wanted at least one of those cheap range hoods with a fan and filter to keep the steam out and the fat would not be thrown out. over the kitchen and condensation on the walls. Well, for the left side I found a stud and screwed in some giant screws, but for the right side I used some sort of fastening solution designed for modern wall panels and it failed after a few months when the plaster around the wall anchors slowly crumbled. . So I decided to try molybdenum bolts so I pulled out the drywall anchors and put in molybdenum bolts that fit the holes best and they worked great and now my hood is securely attached to the wall. So it was the perfect solution exactly when I needed it.
