They are excellent for masonry work, especially plaster. People should know that the technique of drilling with any drill, rock or otherwise, is to move slowly and move the drill in and out to allow the tails to be removed from the hole and the drill to cool. If you simply stick a drill into masonry, it will overheat and you will lose the ability to drill. Brick is much denser and requires a very slow entry; I suggest starting with a smaller piece in each brickwork and increasing its size as the hole gets larger. The same goes for any material; Anyone who drills in wood knows that too much heat will char the wood.
