I bought these for my car stereo installation project because the larger inside diameter would fit heavy duty speaker wires. Well that part worked, but of course with larger wires inside the set screws will NOT seat fully. When that happens the outer barrel will NOT screw on. I had to cut off the rest of the set screws and file smooth to screw on that very pretty, poorly designed, ELECTRICALLY CONDUCTIVE outer cover which I had to cover with heatshrink tubing anyway because my speaker terminals are close together. Cheaper banana plugs with vinyl sleeves worked better than this threaded metal barrel. Bad design, overpriced, pretty but impractical.
