Review on πŸ“Έ SVP PS4100: Portable Handheld Scanner for Color and Mono Scanning – 600DPI by Justin Malkowski

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent handheld scanner

After receiving the scanner I used the included 120V/USB adapter and USB cable to charge the scanner and an 8GB microSD card Installed. "was great. You might need practice to avoid skewed scans, but the quality is very good, even at low quality levels (300 dpi). I then docked the scanner to the docking station and used the auto sheet feeder. Again, Scan quality is excellent even at medium to low dpi settings.NOTE!(I missed that at first!) The docking station MUST be plugged into a power source using the AC adapter/USB cable in order to use the docking station's handheld scanner!, the built in Lithium battery powers it For letter-size originals, both color and black and white, Scanning time (fixing): LOW (300 dpi) 8 seconds, MEDIUM (600 dpi) 10 seconds, and HIGH (1200 dpi) 12 seconds Zum Scanning in dock at 1200 dpi, we recommend using a Class 6 or higher microSD card Can create JPG or PDF files from scanned images Lightweight pouch is used to hold the wand/hand scan ners. ABBYY FineReader 9.0 software comes on a CD (Win2000/Server 2003/XP/Vista/7. At the time of writing this review, I have not tried this software).
