A good pet door should be fairly easy to install. I need a better way to secure the hole, so I'll screw the latch in. When installing, don't do what I did. Be sure to check the floor level at the front and back of the door where you will be installing the pet door to make sure they are almost the same height. I forgot there is a step down the outside of the door so I installed the pet door so that it was higher off the ground. It ended up being too tall for my dogs, so I had to remove the pet door and turn it upside down to drop the height a few inches. Then I had to increase the height of the outer step by adding an extra layer of pavers, which turned out to be a bigger project than I anticipated.
