They'll work just fine, but here's the problem: There's a small screw under each lever that holds it in place. There is a little play in each arm so when you attach them to the wall they will not sit perpendicular to the base bar or your wall. Also, I placed two sets (4 total) side by side to store long pieces of wood. Due to the play and unevenness of each individual hand, it is impossible to align them so that the wood touches the plane of each hand. My tree is supported on 2 of the 4 arms, not all 4. I'll end up making my own out of wood to make it work. Super strong so I gave it 3 stars but don't use more than 2 of them because you don't get a chance to level them together. Great quality, bad technology.
