Levers are durable steel. No trailing screws were included and the instructions were terrible. You will need a 3" screw + wood screw to go through the bracket depending on your wall between the drywall and the rack. I don't like that the pan head screw goes unthreaded in the hole. I tightened it up but hopefully it will last a long time. A pan head screw hole was too close to the edge of the steel arm, so I had to drill the same holes in both vertical bars. I think it's a good product with the…

Very difficult; easy to install (well, after starting Home Depot)

I must have missed the part that says "no mounting hardware is included". I removed everything from the cheap brackets I had on the wall and was about to put them back on only to find they didn't come with wall studs. I ended up buying 1/4" x 4" screws that fit snugly in the mounting holes and I assume they are long enough to hold the weight in the wood studs. That being said - heavy construction, I put them back in. , and I have no doubt that they will continue to keep anything I have uploaded

Used this kit to attach wood to my garage wall. It works perfectly (much better than the shelves it replaced), but when assembling it I was concerned that the bracket's bottom screw would need to screw into a plug at the bottom of the rack, rather than just an empty rack, as is the case with the case with the top bolts (they were also closer to the edge than I'd like, but not close enough to think it's unsafe. But your mileage may vary!) It should be clear in the instructions that this is…

I wanted so like this, but.

They'll work just fine, but here's the problem: There's a small screw under each lever that holds it in place. There is a little play in each arm so when you attach them to the wall they will not sit perpendicular to the base bar or your wall. Also, I placed two sets (4 total) side by side to store long pieces of wood. Due to the play and unevenness of each individual hand, it is impossible to align them so that the wood touches the plane of each hand. My tree is supported on 2 of the 4 arms…

Lag bolts are NOT included

Others claim that the Kastforce version of this kit includes lag bolts. For me it wasn't, and in fact it was clearly stated on the packaging ("screws NOT included"). There's nothing wrong in the product description, but keep in mind that the bracket is 1 inch thick, the washer is another 1/2 inch, and the drywall is 1/2 inch or 5/8 inch, so you really need to think about a bolt of one length from 3-1/2 to 4 inches for hanging. I don't have those big screws so it would be nice if they were…

Great Block Wall Racks

I live in the South, where houses are made of concrete blocks. For the install I used green plastic anchors and #12 3" pan head screws (See anchor because once the screw goes through the bolt and brace, that's about this long. Installation was easy enough. I did just used a spirit level/ruler to keep the studs 32" apart and mark the holes making sure they are even. I then pre-drilled the holes and installed them. As you can see they work great. They are held firmly to the wall with anchors and…

A little planning makes installation easier

Kastforce wood shelving comes in a variety of sizes to fit your garage. I wanted a long shelf above the garage door for wood and siding. I decided to buy 3 pairs and place them every 2 rivets (16 x 2). "for the bobby pin). I also cut 1 7/8" strips of tape on the posts at the top and bottom to help center the posts on the post. To do this I used an A250 rod finder and a Black and Decker Bullseye with laser Align the first few shelf screws with the rest as I went inside out. Use a 12" level to…
