I live in the South, where houses are made of concrete blocks. For the install I used green plastic anchors and #12 3" pan head screws (See anchor because once the screw goes through the bolt and brace, that's about this long. Installation was easy enough. I did just used a spirit level/ruler to keep the studs 32" apart and mark the holes making sure they are even. I then pre-drilled the holes and installed them. As you can see they work great. They are held firmly to the wall with anchors and seem more than strong enough to hold a lot more wood Really helped organize My garage and the little ones fit perfectly between the ceiling and the top of the window It couldn't have worked any better I highly recommend them.
