I've had this thermos for about a month now and am very happy with it. I pour my favorite hot drink into a thermos at 5:40 (what am I doing so early?) and by midday it's still nice and warm (not hot, but definitely not cold or even cool), so give or take 6 hours. I repeat exactly this ritual almost every day, and it will always be wonderfully warm at noon. By the way, when I pour my drink into a thermos, it's very hot, which means that if I drank it, my tongue would burn, but not "burn". My advice/warnings: - If you get one of the colored ones, the color will finish if you wash it in the dishwasher. I know some people have complained about this, but the safety manual clearly states that only unpainted stainless steel bottles are dishwasher safe. - For optimal cleanliness, wash as instructed in the safety manual. - Rinse it right before each use. Soap residue was left in my lid one day and I ended up with disgusting soapy tea. So if you don't like it, simply rinse the lid with warm water. - DO NOT tilt the lid THEN press the button to open the leakproof mug or you will end up with a face full of hot liquid. In other words, press the button when the thermos is upright, then tilt it to take a sip. This may seem silly, but I wasn't warned (maybe I'm just an idiot) and now nobody has to look like a complete idiot for this to happen in a public place. I'll definitely let you know.
