Loose connection at socket end; Failed after two years of passive use
I bought it almost two years ago to use two headphones for monitoring in a recording environment. I plugged in my headphones in 2017 and haven't unplugged them since. I also use long headphone cables, so the splitter has remained almost entirely stationary since then, with no load on it. It was working fine until about two weeks ago when the signal through a pair of headphones disappeared intermittently. I traced the problem to a defective jack on the splitter that was no longer able to make a secure connection to the headphone jack.
