I am returning this product. The valve itself will work fine, but the threads don't match what I have on my 440 Aprilaire. Also, it doesn't contain a very small orifice which, along with the needle valve, helps control the flow to just the right amount needed for the 440. I bought another valve and with some modifications to the fittings I was able to install it efficiently. I purchased and installed Mudder 990-53 Water Inlet Valve GeneralAire compatible humidifier water solenoid valve, 24V, 3.5 GPH. Not all the extra fittings will fit and I had to take the valve along with some of my existing 440 fittings from Home Depot to get what I needed. I also had to loosen the nut on the valve and rotate the inlet and outlet 180° and then re-tighten, which was easy to do. The one supplied male compression fitting did not fit the ferrule. Be sure to adjust the water flow so that it is not wasted.
