I was impressed with the build quality of the unit as well as the number of tips. There are much better and more expensive devices out there, but that's not why I spend more. I live on a farm, I have a three car garage and a store. I think it's perfect for a home hobby. I've used it on a zero turn mower reel (where my gas torch wouldn't work), a couple of bumper bolts on a 1954 Chevy, and a set of rusty nuts that were on an old trailer. Everything was reheated and I was able to remove the nuts. When I look back, I can remember how many times I would have wished that. I can't wait to take apart my next engine and exhaust system. I think the rusty exhaust will be the ultimate test. If you only have a couple of screws that you need to remove in a year, then don't do it. If you work on something regularly, you save time!
