They are very beautiful. They look great with my curtains, the only thing sticking out of them are these sharp, needle-like bits. I've caught my curtains in it a few times, and that was after shedding them as best I could. I think they sewed the beads together like a string, but you have to be very careful not to get caught on the curtains. I have lace curtains over blackout blinds and have had good luck so far but I should probably get something else before they ruin my curtains. I'm disappointed because they look very nice and make my curtains look a lot more elegant.
