This was supposed to be a product you use under more expensive fibers but I enjoyed using it - it felt easy to the desired degree of hardness and it felt smooth to the touch, without bumps and bubble formation. I already have a second box and would recommend anyone wanting to try a different fiber to buy this. I spent several days measuring the amount of fiber right out of the box and then felting it for the head (circle) or body (oval). Then I saved the information on a separate piece of paper - how many inches for a 1" head, how many inches for a 3" body, etc. I kept the samples in a plastic bag and used those measurements, whenever I wanted. create a project of a certain size. This worked for me. On some projects I've used my more expensive fiber pads; others I have only used this fiber as a mid and top layer. I'm new to needle felting but love my results and the versatility of this product.
