Burden of the Beast: Allen Company Heavy Duty Big Game Hunting Gumbrel, 1200 lbs. capacity, black

If you're looking for a heavy-duty gumbrel that can handle even the heaviest big game, look no further than the Allen Company Heavy Duty Big Game Hunting Gumbrel. This black beast of burden can carry up to 1,200 pounds, meaning it's more than capable of lifting a moose, elk, or bear without breaking a sweat. What sets this Gambrel apart from the rest is its sturdy construction. Constructed from welded steel, it will last season after season. The curved shape of the hooks ensures a secure fixation of the prey, the smooth surface prevents skin damage. And when you're done hunting, the Gambrel easily disassembles for compact storage. The only reason I'm giving this Gambrel four stars instead of five is that it's a bit heavy. If you are traveling in the backcountry, you can opt for an easier option. But if you're hunting from a car or base camp, this adventure is hard to beat. All in all I would highly recommend the Allen Company Heavy Duty Hunting Gumbrel to any serious big game hunter. It is a robust, reliable and well-designed tool that will make your on-site refilling and handling tasks much easier.

Pros
  • 350 pounds bear and a good dollar no problem.
Cons
  • Rust and Corrosion Potential: With prolonged exposure to the elements, the Gambrel may rust or corrode over time, shortening its lifespan and rendering it unusable.
