Review on Dorman 741-813: High-Quality Front Driver Side Power Window Motor and Regulator Assembly for Ford / Mercury Models by Mike Rubenstein

I decided to do this repair myself after a Ford dealer and a Firestone auto center were unable to get to my car for over a week. They wanted me to leave the car in their lot with a window that wouldn't close. Heavy rain is forecast for the week. Duct tape and plastic until this part arrived. I used the time to watch a few YouTube videos about the move. The product was not very difficult to install. Passenger window and motor unit replaced. Take a photo before loosening or removing assembly parts. I used two bolts/nuts (they are available at car dealerships) to replace the rivets that needed to be drilled out. The hardest part was getting the knot back into the little hole in the door. This helps to remove the window before installation (this makes replacing the top 2 mounting screws easier) and then installing the window after fastening the 2 mounting screws. at the top of the door. The assembly will fit without modification as stated on the Dorman website. It definitely saved me money and time.
