I prepared by opening all the cans and prepping them before opening the oxygen scavengers. Firstly, even though the vacuum bag said it was OxySorb brand as described, there was no oxygen reading anywhere on the bag. When I opened the pouch of absorbents, I immediately placed about 40 pouches in an 8 ounce jar of jelly and closed the lid tightly, knowing I wouldn't need them. I had dried apple slices packed tightly in jars. I put dampers on 200cc. cm in each liter jar and 600 cu. cm per gallon can. All lids were tightly closed within 5 minutes of opening the oxygen scavenger vacuum pack. Hours later NONE of my jars were sealed, not even an 8 ounce jar with about 40 packets of 4000ml oxygen scavengers. Obviously they didn't fit when I got them. I will get a refund and will try another brand.
