These candles are beautiful and the flame is bright. These are the most beautiful flameless candles I have ever seen. I love her. 4 3/4 stars would be a better estimate but I've rounded up. PROS: Nice bright LED so may not require batteries and the candle is separate from the holder so it can be used in a base. After our choice, you see the shortcomings in terms of durability, but the seller quickly replaces the defects that arrive. CONS: The holder is light and its opening is larger than the candle, holds 2 AA batteries, the package usually comes with one or two batteries that don't work so they can be a bit fragile and the bulb is not replaceable. CONCLUSION: My time of year is the day after Thanksgiving until the vernal equinox. I'll keep updating my review next fall to find out how long the batteries last and how consistent they are. I love these candles and hope all goes well.
