Review on Nspire Dual Bottle Hydration Belt by Kelly Noonan

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The band is ok but the bottles are small and not very flexible; hard to squeeze

The belt itself is fine if you use the bottles that come with it, but here's the problem. my other similar bottles. Because they are very hard, they are difficult to squeeze and force water through the bite valve. Normally this isn't a problem, just replace it with another bottle, but if you use a standard 17oz water bottle it will sit too high, stick out and move around. You have to put on the elastic band every time you take it out or put it back in the holster. That's it for the one-handed control claim. 20 ounces may be enough for many people depending on how far they walk/run/walk etc and where they do it. I walk and run fairly long distances and live in Arizona, 20 ounces won't work for me and was hoping I could holster larger bottles. And you can, as long as you hold them up with elastic bands. But it's not perfect. If bottles were better it would be good for a walk or run that doesn't require too much hydration. The strap is of good quality, the buckle works well and the pouch, although tight, holds my iPhone mini well. Most of my hiking and running gear has pockets, so I'm not worried about putting a lot in, but I could certainly carry my phone (admittedly a small phone), cash, credit cards, and keys, and that's all I've ever looked for . you have to take it with you. There was a question on this site about the "extra piece of plastic" on the belt, and the seller replied that there were only two pieces of plastic, one on each side of the buckle. Well my belt also comes with an extra piece and I have no idea what it is for or how to use it. Thankfully, it's easy to remove. I'm disappointed with the quality of the bottles, but if your exercises only require 20 ounces of water, this is a very decent belt. You may only need to unscrew the top to get proper water flow.
