The belt itself isn't bad if you use the bottles that come with it, but here's the problem. my other similar bottles. Because they are very hard, they are difficult to squeeze and force water through the bite valve. Normally this isn't a problem, just replace it with another bottle, but if you use a standard 17oz water bottle it will sit too high, stick out and move around. You have to put on the elastic band every time you take it out or put it back in the holster. That's it for the one-handed

Sturdy/Reliable Suitable for outdoor activities

Overall I am satisfied with this hydration belt and consider it the best I have personally tried. Two straps to adjust tension and an elastic band for a snug fit. Bottles are shaped to fit snugly around the hips/buttocks, minimizing bouncing or moving in bottle pockets. There are tethers to keep the bottles secure - I can't imagine someone accidentally falling out from behind the locking loops on the bottles. The bottle valves are really well designed, easy to open with your teeth and pretty…

Updated rating after 70 minutes of trail running. I walk a lot Every single day for more than a year is "a lot". I also run a lot a few times a week, define it as "a lot" of running for 2 or more hours. It's a lot of kilometers and the daily abuse is brutal to the equipment. Update: I clearly endorse Nathan's products. Except that after 70 minutes of running I found some really annoying features. The bite valve can be a bit tricky when running. The bottle is hard and squeezing out water can be…

Stable/Reliable in hydration packs

Overall I am pleased with this hydration belt and consider it the best I have personally tried. front, two straps to adjust tension and some elastic to keep things tight. The bottles are shaped to fit snugly against your thighs/buttocks, minimizing bounce or movement. Don't imagine accidentally falling out due to the attachment loops on the bottles. The bottle valves are really well designed, easy to open with your teeth and pretty much leak proof. I have a Hoka brand bottle with the same valve
