Review on 📻 Radioddity CB-27 Mini CB Radio Mobile 40-Channel: AM Instant Emergency 9/19, RF Gain, Removable Microphone by Boss Spangler

I replaced a Cobra 75WXST radio in my Jeep due to too many noise canceling and audio issues. Firstly, this radio is so small and compact that it can be placed anywhere. I installed it on the passenger side center console with the speaker facing the center console. This is a problem as the radio is not that loud. The speaker is very small, especially to accommodate such a small radio. Think of portable radio speakers. With my Jeep's doors and roof down, I can't even hear the radio at full volume when I'm crawling over rocks. Forget listening to it while driving. I will try to add a second speaker with an output. The noise cancellation of this radio is amazing if you use the automatic noise canceling function. I found the manual squelch too tiring, having to fiddle with it every few minutes, and the lack of a dedicated button is just annoying. However, the automatic noise reduction worked great and kept me quiet for most of the day. Like all other radios I've had, this one is almost useless for short-range transmissions up to 100 meters. I can't hear others and they can't hear me. However, move further away and this thing will glow. I was able to get my SWR very close to 1:1. The radio puts out just over 3 watts on my meter. Still more than I need, but not the declared 4 watts. It looks like the mic won't last more than a few uses, time will tell. It weighs only a few grams and looks very cheap. Overall, I really like this radio because of its size. I can't give it 5 stars just because it's so difficult to use and also because the mic is cheap in general. I'll update it if and when the mic fails. Unfortunately, the microphone is not standard, so replacing it is not better. I also don't like the fact that it doesn't have a standard mic mount as I have a good mount for it in my Jeep. I had to make one to replace the hook.
