The magnet on the side of the phone is very strong, but it doesn't extend past the four corners of the adhesive and the magnets themselves don't seem thick enough to to justify such a thick cover. The part that attaches to your phone is too thick to be used with any case I've seen and is a significant addition to the back of the phone. I'll use a spare magnet and see if I can get the magnets out to manually attach and install my case. For now I have it installed on the outside of my case but it sure is bulky. Overall it's a smart design and works great* as long as you pair it perfectly with most chargers. For my Galaxy S10, this meant NOT using the help card that came with it. The magnetic mount needs to be much higher than fast charging would allow, not just normal charging or no charging. Surprisingly, compared to my other wireless chargers, I had the hardest time getting this charger to work with fast charging, but after reapplying it a couple of times, I found the right placement and now it's working flawlessly. The mount itself is solid and thankfully the bulky adhesive still gets the job done. Overall, I'm happy with the price I paid, but I hate that extra bulk on my suitcase. The three stars are part of that as it seems unnecessary and the information I've seen is that cases should work as long as they aren't too thick (I'm not) and part of a misleading guide to when not all phones function a charge dead point.
