Update: I started looking closely and decided to put it on my old one with a curved whisk. That's when I realized they weren't the same. The engine of the old one is much more powerful and the fork is bigger! I have a neighbor who fixed turbines, he said he straightened the shaft on the old one. So now it's back in balance and working. The old one is much stronger and better! I think they're just trying to cut corners and make them cheaper. I think they downsized the Viper to use a smaller motor as the reduced mass would spin just as fast with a smaller motor. I will post a video showing the old and the new. I think my last one is a lemon. I have previously purchased three of these for all three of my homes. One of the cats knocked over the old one which caused the shaft to bend and not work properly so I say this is an offer for one without a stand for $3 less and ordered it. I ordered ruby red, well it definitely doesn't look like the picture. In the picture it looks like metallic red, in real life it looks different. So I was disappointed with it, but the new one also seems to be a lot less powerful than the old one. It doesn't whip as hard and the motor even sounds less powerful. It seems to be half as fast as the old one. It will probably cost me more money and time to send it back for an exchange than just buying another one. I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet.
