Upgrade. Although I had some frustrations with the product I first received and thought the company had some flaws due to known issues, I should update this review and note that the company helped me with my issues in a very, very quick and professional manner has when I contacted it. My second leather steering wheel works great. I now use it constantly with chisels, chisels and planer knives along with their felt wheels. In fact, both leather and felt are used more than sandpaper discs and you can have two different grit formulations that cover over 90% of my needs. Old review: I like this idea, but my drivetrain was really uneven, creating wobble severe enough to render this unusable. Basically, the piece of leather appears to be 1/16 inch or maybe 3/32 inch larger than the rest. It doesn't seem like much, but when the outer part of the disk is spinning at a fairly high speed, the disk cannot be used. The instruments are literally unstoppable and the whole unit rattles. I've tried using sandpaper on the block while the disc is spinning to sand out the highlights, but so far that hasn't worked. Maybe next time I'll try to be a little more aggressive with him. I'd say it's better not to throw it away, I kinda peel off the skin and leave the glass panel. Also, I would like to say that I want to love the WS3000, but my add-ons like this leather disc and holder have had the exact same issues that I've read about in the reviews here over the past few years. These are known issues and you would think the company would take care of fixing them. I understand that changing molds and jigs abroad will take time, but these problems have been around for years. I really want WS to listen to its customers and become smarter and better.
