I spent a little more on a leather truing wheel for the sharpening system to keep blades sharp. I used to get nervous at the thought of sharpening my woodturning tools but after watching a few videos and practicing I'm not sure what made me more nervous lol. A stud is a great investment for sharpening blade edges without having to resharpen all around, saving time and your blades. Kit received and installed today. Before buying, read the "negative" reviews that the skin is uneven. It's okay, a few minutes of grinding rod and you're done. I didn't expect the leather to fit perfectly on the disc as it is made from an animal and the people making the leather are not machinists. Works perfectly! I use it to sharpen my screw holes. It gives the instruments a very nice mirror surface. I've been using the WS3000 for a few years now but never got around to using it for carving…
