I use it to improve athletic performance in cycling. I use 1 scoop in 4 ounces of water before my toughest workouts. With this one change/addition to my routine, keeping performance levels down seems to become more manageable. Like all (legal) dietary supplements, this is not a magic pill; Being tired, distracted, or poorly chosen parents does not absolve you of these responsibilities. If you are fit, focused and otherwise ready for a good workout or race, use can give you a 1-2% performance boost. It is not a stimulant, you will not feel any (sporting) effects just by taking it. just like with caffeine. Any reviewer who says they felt energized is suffering from the placebo effect. You only see results at the performance limit if you work very hard and can measure small differences either by comparing times for exact distances or with a power meter. Is the 1% or 2% improvement worth it? If you are a competitive athlete, I would say absolutely.
