Effectively updated an old cedar chest
I inherited a cedar chest that had been damaged by mothballs for decades. I've tried several methods to remove the stench to no avail. I sanded it lightly and applied two coats of cedarwood oil. It helped and now it can be used. The smell is light and unobtrusive. Because it's 100% cedar oil, I believe it will be an effective insect repellent. After a previous incident where bed bugs were brought into our home, the only effective natural remedy was cedar nut oil. I would highly recommend this product and the excellent customer service.
