These shades are decent. I have some brown and some white, darker colors block more light. You can see through them enough to make out shapes, but they shade and reduce light quite well. Installation is extremely easy, you simply screw two clips onto the top of the window sill and it snaps into place. However, their prices are quite strange. At their standard price they are a bit more expensive than what you get as I can get premium fabric Levolor shades at Home Depot for about the same price. For the standard price, it's not very good value for money. I got mine for half price, but I've noticed a strange trend: every time I've bought, the price of the remaining units immediately went up. My guess is that if they don't sell, the price will go down because after a while I could see them going down daily. I bought mine piece by piece over the course of a few months to get a reasonable price. I think they shoot themselves in the foot a bit with their pricing model because they often only stock a few and most people won't buy one shade, they need enough for a room or a home so supplies are sitting and slowly reduce prices until it falls to 70%.
