Review on ๐Ÿšฒ Optimized Blackburn Mountain Bike Water Bottle Holder by Devin Girard

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Simple product good quality

This is a relatively basic product but as far as I can tell it is of good quality and will last a long time. In my experience, the main problem with bottle cages is that they either rust or lose their "grip" (bend or otherwise lose their shape so that they no longer hold your bottles). They're very light (aluminum) but still thick and strong - they haven't changed shape in the slightest, but are still flexible enough to easily place/remove bottles on the go. Installation was a breeze - the pre-drilled holes lined up. Fits perfectly with the factory holes on my bike frame (Trek), just make sure you keep the bolts that come with the bike (not included with the cages). Didn't have time, but absolutely couldn't take more than 120 seconds (most of the time was spent turning the Allen key). Because they are aluminum, rust/corrosion is not an issue. I use them on my road bike as I don't trust the plastic cages that many road cyclists use (they tend to break them). My old cages were made out of some sort of steel (or other heavy metal) and they seem just as strong but much lighter. They match my bike's finish well and seem strong enough to last a lifetime. I'll update if anything changes but for now they seem like great cages.
