is working. I have to keep pressing so that the bottles are sealed

If I don't do this, the bottle will jump out with every small jump on my mountain bike. Get what you pay for. I have no problem with losing my temper and driving down the sidewalk, and here's a bunch of mumbling just to meet Amazon's word length requirements for me to write this post

Pros
  • Robust workmanship
Cons

Inconsistent product

I bought this product about a year ago and it looks like the current picture. I've now ordered another one and it's not even remotely the same. I needed an identical model to visualize the mounting position for a different set of brackets. Also on my current site (at the time of writing) the correct image is showing in the 'Article Reviewed' box. So if you want to see what the product will look like, click on "Write a review". 07/14/2012

Good holder for my hybrid bike

This is a great bottle holder for my hybrid bike. I use the bike sometimes on (easy) mountain bike trails, sometimes on gravel paths and sometimes on tarmac. It's not the lightest holder (like Carbon), but it's great for the money and relatively light for the price and strength. I bent mine a bit to make the bottle slide easier when riding. The bottle is still tight enough not to slip out.

  • Decent performance

  • Ok

It's good for the price

This black water bottle frame mounts very easily on the Schwinn Sierra women's bike. The aluminum cage is light and strong, with some spring tension. I tried three water bottles for one fit. I have an Outdoor Products 16 ounce water bottle that won't fit in the cage because the water bottle is too big or the cage is too small. Another small issue was that the top support bar on this bike interfered with access to that particular water bottle. I tried a 16 ounce disposable water bottle and itโ€ฆ

Simple product good quality

This is a relatively basic product but as far as I can tell it is of good quality and will last a long time. In my experience, the main problem with bottle cages is that they either rust or lose their "grip" (bend or otherwise lose their shape so that they no longer hold your bottles). They're very light (aluminum) but still thick and strong - they haven't changed shape in the slightest, but are still flexible enough to easily place/remove bottles on the go. Installation was a breeze - theโ€ฆ
