I have had several types of these butane lighters and know how to fill them well. I even have a 'special' bleed tool to relieve the pressure inside and when I try to refill it just spills out. It's a nice color (I have blue) but what's the point if it can't be refilled. I followed the manufacturer's instructions for topping up the tank and it says no different than any other type of butane you can't use. Of course, this happens right after the return date. The lighter looks solid but no better than some of the others having just passed its return date. I assume that it will take much longer than this short time. UPDATE customer service was excellent and lighter replaced. I can't say enough about how Jessica handled the situation
