Well, I've always wanted to make homemade fries that look like McDonald's and Burger King. I ordered this item and bought a bag of Idaho potatoes to start my new experiment. I have to say I'm very impressed with how they turned out. Very durable and small enough that I can just hide in any corner. The only issue I had was that with the size of potato I was using I had to push it by hand without using the handle for fear of using too much elbow grease and breaking the handle. The handle feels solid because it's plastic, just didn't want to risk it. The slicer cuts potatoes with great precision. I can't wait to season it my way and throw it in the fryer. I feel it. This is a great investment for parents as well as a quick snack for your kids or even yourself. I've been crazy about french fries and after the pandemic I prefer to make my own rather than going to a fast food joint to pick them up.
