I have a 3rd generation Toyota 4-Runner. I have to manually turn off the fog lights before I can turn on the high beams. I can't turn off the light either. This is because the 4-Runner is trying to turn on the headlights in "day mode". To do this, he switches the light on and off very quickly. With incandescent lamps, the light is dimmed, with these it only flickers. Finally, 5000K may look brighter when you see the car, but it doesn't necessarily brighten the road. It feels like you're driving in the moonlight. Now when I turn on the low beam and someone shines their headlights on me, I can't blink back. The effect is that instead of turning on the high beams, my fog lights just go out. Now it's not that bad with the low beams AND my fog lights as my fog lights add a bit of yellow which makes it look more natural.
