I bought this to weigh my bass and it works great! Many musicians have shoulder and back problems, so the weight of the guitar is very important. I'm tired of weighing my basses on a digital bathroom scale to either sell or buy an overly heavy bass. You would have to stand on the scale, set the basic weight, then put your guitar on it and take the difference. It was very annoying. I saw someone use this scale in a bass guitar commercial. I looked up the model number and found it on Revain. That works great. I have weighed several guitars that I bought from music stores and these scales are very accurate. Getting the center of gravity right can be a little tricky, but it's not that hard to figure out. When weighing your guitars, remember to put something soft underneath to prevent the scale's plastic from scratching the guitar's surface.
