Very good white light, but could be better.

I bought both 9003 and 9006 for my 2005 Toyota Tundra. These are great lamps but there are a few things that I haven't found in other reviews. First High/Low 9003. No one really explained this so I'll explain. The lamps are removed from the mounting plates. You install the plates in your headlights, then place the dust caps on the bulb, then they are pushed in and twisted to snap into the retaining plate adapters that you previously placed in the housing. This allows for easy weatherproof installation. Only the lamps are inserted and fixed in the adapters with the right side facing up or vice versa. I flipped both on the first try and the beam looked cool. It's easy to tell when you're switching from high to low and back again. I rotated the bulbs 180 degrees in the adapters and now they fit perfectly in my cases with amazing radiation patterns. Five stars for the 9003. Now for the 9006 bulbs. This is a replacement for my fog lights. There are three things that need to be decided. First, my Toyota had the polarity of the plug reversed. I had to flip the pins in the connectors. Second, they are not specified in the cases at all. They were broken up and hanging around. I was afraid they would twist and fall out while driving, so I had to make washers to tighten them in the housing. Third, fog lights have a very directional body and the bulbs deflect 90 degrees. I had very little power to begin with, but when I found that the LED wasn't properly aimed into the housing, I found that the bulbs were actually friction inserted into the adapters and could be rotated until the LED was showing through the housing Hole reflector in the body. Corps. Three stars for 9006 due to the cumbersome assembly and reversed plugs. These would be five star lights IF they fit the housings better, and some fog light housings explained that you had to sync the bulbs for the correct wattage. Now, after all the tweaks and adjustments, both the 9003 and 9006 are excellent. Pure white and very bright. They outshine my previous Sylvainia Silver Star Halogens. There is no more yellow light here. As a rule, these are very white, bright and high-quality light sources. I like the fact that they use a quality heatsink instead of a fan. Fans fail, heatsinks don't. I just wish the installation and setup instructions were clearer. Besides, they were only a few days away. I really hope they can handle the Florida heat and weather. When they do, they are unbeatable in price and quality.
