Review on πŸ”§ Industrial Shank Brush: Neiko 00325A - Superior Efficiency and Durability by Shane Yay

Far from "industrial " quality

Nothing to say except that these are very inefficient brushes. I bought this set because of the wide variety of sizes and materials (brass, nylon, and steel) to work with both my car and firearms. I thought steel brushes were great for cleaning rusty and corroded spots on my car when driving and repairing old cars, especially electrical contacts. It is even mentioned on the product packaging as one of the main uses. So today I went out to clean some contacts for some turn signal plugs and when I first cleaned the contacts with the standard pressure you would use to clean rust the steel bristles curled up like wet spaghetti noodles. See attached image for details. This was the smallest 8mm brush as I felt the brushes fit the socket and they were the stiffest. Obviously they are very mild steel and much softer than the contacts I cleaned. No, you usually want a softer cleaning material, for example use brass brushes on your firearms to avoid ruining the finish. However, when you're dealing with rusted steel or iron contacts, you usually need something harder to get through that corrosion and they don't even come close. So now I need to return them, now find somewhere else to clean those contacts, maybe at my local Ace around the corner. Definitely not worth the price paid and avoid at all costs.

Cons
