Smart upgrade way to add M2 capability to motherboard

This is a PCIE card that allows you to add an M.2 drive to any motherboard with an open PCIE slot. The card is 4 inches long and comes with a full-height plastic ATX bracket. If you have a miniATX device, you will need to trim the bracket to fit. In the box you get a card, a heatsink kit that includes 2 pieces of thermal silicon and a very thin aluminum heatsink, a mounting screw, a screwdriver and instructions in Chinese only. Instructions in English can be found here on the Revain website in the product description. To use this card, mount it on the plastic bracket, place the silicone thermal pads on both sides of the M.2 card, slide the M.2 card into the PCIE card, and then install the PCIE card a free PCIE slot on the motherboard. If you are using Win10 the card is plug and play, but for Win7 you need to download the driver. I found this card useful for upgrading an old computer that didn't have an M.2 slot on the motherboard. At first I thought I would use the card to add a third M.2 to my motherboard on my regular computer, but it's even more useful on an old computer. Now I can use the speed of an M.2 drive even though the motherboard didn't have an M.2 slot. This made the card quite easy to install, although the lack of English instructions in the box and the plastic holder did not inspire confidence. However, my new M.2 drive seems to work fine on my old computer and the transfer speeds are good. All in all, this is a creative solution for adding an M.2 drive, best for those who are perfectly comfortable with DIY computing.
