Smells like chemistry!

I bought this pan to replace my favorite Rachael Ray pan. After years of use, the RR pan is simply showing its age. The first thing that struck me about this pan is that it's much lighter and feels cheaper overall. Not a big deal, but after a few uses I noticed a lot of scratches as other reviewers have pointed out even though I only use plastic utensils. Ironically, now after a few months of use, I'm noticing a very strong chemical smell coming from the pan when I use it. When I first noticed this, I thought maybe it was because I had left the plastic spatula too close to the pan while gathering the other ingredients. I used it last night and made sure to put the spatula on the spoon stand every time I finished moving items in the pan and I still noticed a strong smell. It's straight out of the pan. I've had non-stick cookware ranging from cheap (Target Stuff) to mid-range (Rachael Ray) to relatively expensive (Circulon), and none of them have ever smelled like this while owned. I'm not comfortable with the thought of so many chemicals getting into my food. Obviously it's too late to return it so I guess I'll throw it away. Too bad I can't find my RR pan separately anywhere because it was the best!

Cons
