I bought this unit for my 2010 Jeep Wrangler because I tow a heavy cargo trailer full of carpenter's tools long stretches of highway and the Jeep is having trouble maintaining speed of 60 miles per hour. The jeep has enough power to tow, but it will be a real workout towing a 3,000 lb trailer for 3 hours. Before I added this device, my cruise control would hover at up to 7 mph on the long, slow hills of the freeway. The cruise control would frequently shift the jeep into lower gears to regain speed. With this unit set to the most aggressive "Sport" sensitivity, my cruise control now barely falters around 2mph on smooth highway ups and downs, and the transmission rarely downshifts to regain speed. That makes the three-hour drive much more comfortable for me. When not lugging, I'm driving the medium-aggressive setting, which reduces the chronic lag of factory throttle response while still delivering smooth acceleration from a standstill. If I keep the setting on high with no trailer, the car rolls when I exit the stop sign. So I just set it to a lower setting and it starts and runs very smoothly. I am very satisfied with this device. It was an easy setup and it gives me a lot of options for how my Jeep will react when I touch my gas pedal. This is great for cruise control towing. I can't say if it helped my gas mileage. Towing that big trailer with an older Wrangler JK takes a lot out of that little V6 engine. I get about 10-11 mpg towing, not about 16-17 without a trailer on the same trip. If fuel consumption has increased, not much during my use as a tractor. It is important to note that there is still a delay in throttle response when downshifting the automatic transmission. This device reduces accelerator pedal response delay, but does not affect transmission delay. Perhaps those of you who drive manual transmission jeeps will like this device even more than I do.
