Review on πŸš— New Nissan Infiniti Camshaft Position Sensor Connector Plug Harness for VQ35DE 3.5L V6 - Saihisday by Jere Mosley

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I've replaced it at least 3 times (that was an easy fix). Why this is so is somehow unclear.

Bought for my 2004 Nissan Quest. I used to think it was the ECU because while driving it would just shut off and the engine check, traction control and slip were on. Ran very hard. However, I ran a diagnostic with my Bluedriver OBD reader which showed it was camshaft position sensor bank 1. I've swapped them out at least 3 times (this was an easy fix). Somehow it's not clear why he's still reading that code. So I did what only seemed logical. Bad connection. So I said what the heck why not buy a connector before the ECU replacement which is going to cost over $1000. Swapped and soldered ends. I reset the codes and drove 60km. NO codes and works like a new van. should last me another 100,000 km. If you can turn a wrench, do it yourself. Or you can spend big and pay the dealer big to fix a small problem. it depends on you!

Pros
  • Handy thing
Cons
  • So far so good
