I play a first-person shooter and need a mouse that supports fast, precise movements like clicks and reduces the chronic wrist pain I experience with the Logitech G502. Before finding the C-18, I looked at dozens of vertical mice at Revain, NewEgg, PCPartPicker, Fry's, etc. Before this one I tried a few different vertical mice but they all had low IPS (how many inches per second a mouse can handle) and lost track as soon as I made any quick movements. As far as I can tell, this is the only vertical mouse on the market that can handle serious gaming. I've been using it for about a month now and my wrist hasn't felt this good in over a year. This thing can handle any Corsair, Logitech, or Razer mouse I've used. Also, the description doesn't match the settings. The DPI settings are only preset. If you download the software from the Zelotes website, you can adjust the DPI from 400 to a maximum of 100 increments, which is amazing for a mouse at this price point. The software also lets you remap all the buttons, even the DPI toggle button. Some other comments/observations: - The mouse wheel has a nice notch for switching weapons. - The texture of the handle feels comfortable. It's not rough, but slightly rubberized so it doesn't get slippery or oily when your palms sweat. The right mouse button requires a bit more force to press near the base. So when using a claw grip it may take a while to get used to. - The thumb joystick on top feels deserted and doesn't really add anything (although it's a great mouse without it). The stick is not easily accessible. Since you need your thumb to hold the mouse against your palm when you move the mouse, you cannot control your thumb and move the mouse at the same time. Joystick movements also feel delayed compared to all other buttons. In the most comfortable/natural hand position, the thumb does not have adequate access to the forward button. The mouse comes with an extra set of rubber pads. for the floor when the originals are worn out. The pads offer smooth movement but have very little friction with some mouse pads. I like a little more resistance so I cut mine a bit with scissors and that fixed it. Whether you are looking for vertical gaming mice or have a sore wrist from gaming, I cannot recommend this mouse highly enough.
