Review on ๐Ÿฅ› Norpro Plastic Measuring Cup with 4-Cup Capacity by Kitty Alcide

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It can withstand a lot, the markings are easy to read, suitable for the microwave.

I drink coffee from a huge mug, but I prefer to heat the water and pour it out than to heat the water in the mug. It took me forever to find a meter that could hold 20 ounces of water and still fit in the microwave without getting so hot I couldn't touch it. (Glass measuring cups get very hot when water is boiled in them.) It works. It's large enough to easily fit in the microwave, withstands hot water, and won't melt or burn your hand. Yay The only downside is that it sags a little when coming out of hot water. It contains a lot of liquid and is very hot, so it's not surprising that the plastic can sag a bit due to the weight. It's very negligible sag, so I'm not afraid to drop it, but it sags a bit. NOTHING I have seen in years of searching has ever worked better so I will use this until it breaks. The plastic it is made of is soft but hard at the same time. You can crush it a little and not break it, but it's not soft enough to be unreliable when measuring. It is easy to pour, the markings are clear and have no unpleasant odors even when the water is hot. I only use it to heat water so I can't tell if it takes on odors over time, but for my use it's good. Rinse in the dishwasher, no problem.
