I bought this hoping something would soften my Apple Pencil grip. When I write for a long period of time, my fingers tend to ache from the pressure of holding a pen. In that regard, the sleeve really helps. I feel less pain when writing. I was hoping it would be a little softer. It's fairly dense and not very squelching, but it helps. At the same time, the material looks very "solid" and by no means cheap. What really surprised me is how much I like the magnet feature. It's incredibly handy for me to be able to stick a pencil to the side of the iPad, and it just sticks! I find the strength of the magnet ideal; It's not insanely strong, but enough to keep it attached even if you turn the device upside down. Note that the magnet creates a ribbed bulge on the side of the sleeve, so it's not a uniform cylindrical shape. Writing with this curvature was a bit unusual for me at first, but I've gotten used to it now. All in all, I would definitely buy this product again. Just note that this isn't a soft grip like some modern pens.
