Review on BeaverCraft BW12 Basswood Carving Blocks by Morgan Gilmore

I'm always on the lookout for quality wood carvings, especially basswood. Woodcraft for the same type of box. I don't usually order online and especially stay away from bags at the craft store as I found them tough and unusable. it's a shot. Their knives are great for beginners but have a quality option and their kits and slings are state of the art. I even picked up one of their leather magazines and it turned out to be surprisingly good. Despite all this, I expected the wood to be inferior to my regular Rockler basswood as I was expecting a different species of wood to be substituted as basswood is not that common overseas, but I was pleasantly surprised when I received my new blade received and tried . The blanks are beautiful, even and without stains. The fiber feels straight and most importantly it feels like butter. I could make shallow and thin cuts that leave a nice shine on the wood and I only saw roughness in the cut when going from deep to fast (often the way to bad times in many things in life). I would suggest trying it, especially for the price.
