If you've ever worked with these types of sensors, you know they're fragile as hell. I had one that came with an expensive multimeter out of the box. I bought these to make sure the problem was with the sensor and not the meter itself. Plugged it in and got almost instantaneous readings. The temperature readings were accurate. If I buy this bulk pack now, I'll have a spare in case the other one breaks. Note. These devices use two dissimilar metal wires that are soldered or bonded together at the end of the probe. When dissimilar metals are exposed to changing temperatures, they produce an electrical reaction that a measuring device can measure. The wires are tiny, and when subjected to severe mechanical stress, they will electrically disconnect (i.e., break), causing the probe to fail or become unreliable. Just for your information.
