I brought the following dashcam: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07QHV7DCY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 For 2020 Mazda CX-30 , there is no cigarette lighter plug in the center console - just a USB plug (the center console has this plug, but this plug is always on - not bad, but it drains the battery when the car is stopped), but you want it replace it with a USB cable that is also shorter. Aside from the plug/cable being angled the wrong way (down instead of up) when connecting to the camera, the cable isn't just for power. When connected to the USB socket on the center console, the camera display will indicate that it is in media mode or similar for data transfer. When plugged in, it doesn't work as a camera, only as a media drive. Read the instructions and camera menus and can't find any ways to disable this mode. So the cable doesn't work, at least for this connected dash cam in a 2020 Mazda CX-30. Devices. But in my case the cable was not compatible with my DVR. They offered to replace the cable with another original design. The replacement cable worked - just like the first cable.
