GOOD PRODUCT BUT BAD SUPPORT

I have had several older M570 trackballs and am very happy with them. The prices went up so much that when I lost one I decided to buy a new and current model instead of a refurbished model. Someone says that the current model - Ergo M575 - is larger. For all practical purposes, they are the same size. The new model is only 1/8 inch larger and has a different shape. Even the rolling ball is interchangeable. So there is not much difference. The trackball in the M575 spins much easier. It's also a shiny silver bead! ;-) There are five instead of four grip pads on the bottom so that it holds better. The best thing for me is the Bluetooth connectivity. Now you don't need a USB stick anymore. backpack or surrounding objects. Non-stop work, of course. My only disappointment is the customer service hence only four stars. very little information. You could do without her no matter what she does. The support webpage is not easily accessible and also short. What a disaster. The registration page is even worse. The two hot buttons are contradictory and each will knock you off the page before you've seen all the information you want. Very disappointing. It took me three tries to get it right. Bad deal again. The new model is twice what I paid for the M570, and Logitech's websites are clunky. Not what I would have expected from a top notch company. Other companies shied away from customer information and didn't even provide manuals for more advanced products and software than this trackball. They really need to rethink their customer service principles. Overall I have a bad feeling. The product works, but I'm not happy with the overall experience.

Pros
  • Up to 24 months on a single AA battery with a USB receiver, you might just forget the trackball even needs batteries.
Cons
  • weak
