+1 for comfort, -3 for waste and performance.

I bought these hoping to make cold brewing easier. They work, but not nearly as easy as putting water and ground coffee in a glass and then straining them 24 hours later. When I first tried it I used the smaller size and had to leave it in the jar for 4 days before it got strong enough. I figured I might have put the crumbs in a bag that's too small to fit, so I tried larger bags and encountered the same problem. It's as if pouches can never be fully saturated, they always stick to the top as if full of air; like swimmers in a pool. I ended up just putting the crumbs straight into the water and then trying to pass them through one of the big bags. It was effective but to be honest a paper filter or fine metal mesh filter is perfect at this point and not nearly as wasteful or expensive. They're technically efficient, at least in the long run, but not worth the cost or the waste.

Pros
  • Natural and durable material. Cold Brew Coffee Bags are made from natural fine fibers suitable for industrial composting. The filter medium is ultra-strong and tear-resistant and filters like paper. Reinforced seams won't fray. Ideal for use with: regular cold brew systems and most cold brew coffee makers
Cons
  • So far so good
