put her in my bed because the tonneau cover blocks the loading light. Connected to trailer wiring harness. I don't know why anyone would ever need to connect wires directly to the battery (complains that the wire isn't long enough to get to the battery) as there are a lot of hot wires near the bed. I wanted my switch to be near the tailgate in bed and it worked great for that. After all, I don't need a cockpit switch when I'm standing at the back door to load/unload things. I added a ledge so I can direct the light at a 45 degree angle down the middle of the bed bottom instead of straight down or straight like they are designed. I think this works best at an angle.
