Review on Gates Premium Engine Water Pump 43068 by John Naidu
The Gates 43068 water pump failed after about 5 weeks of use.
Gates 43068 water pump broke down about five weeks after purchase and installation. Three of the four bolts holding the godet (pulley) to the water pump flange were stripped (ripped) off the flange causing further damage to the vehicle. Aluminum alloy flange may not be properly aged (heat treated). Revain's return window closed about a week before the water pump failed. Manufacturer warranty information seems hard to come by.
